Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

EagLearn (“we”, “us”) makes this website, eaglearn.in, and the learning apps EagLe Junior (jr-image.eaglearn.in, jr-pose.eaglearn.in and jr-sound.eaglearn.in) and EagLe Maker (maker.eaglearn.in). EagLearn is run from India by its founder, Dr. Kushagra Goyal. You can reach us at eaglearn.info@gmail.com.

This policy covers the website and the apps. It explains what personal data we handle, why, who helps us handle it, and the choices and rights you have.

2. What stays on your device

The apps run inside your web browser. When a learner uses them:

• Recordings stay on the device. Photos, camera frames, sounds, body and hand poses, face movements, typed sentences, pasted writing, tables and sensor readings are used in the browser and are not uploaded to us.
• Training happens on the device. Models are trained and tested in the browser. We never receive them.
• Projects are saved as files. When you save a project or a trained AI, the browser downloads a file to your device. We do not keep a copy, so keep your files safe.
• Settings are kept in the browser. The apps remember choices such as the language, the theme and the connected board in the browser’s own storage on that device. EagLe Maker also keeps a copy of itself and some AI models in the browser so that it can work offline.

Closing the tab ends the recording. Clearing the browser’s site data removes the stored settings and offline copy.

A few features do send data off the device, only when you use them. They are described in section 5.

3. What we collect

When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, password, school or institution (optional) and role (teacher, parent, student, school admin or other). Your password is handled by our sign-in provider and stored in a form we cannot read. We also record which plan the account is on and when it ends, any discount coupon used for it, which app you were on your way to when you signed up (for example the Maker app), and, if a tagged advertising link brought you, that campaign’s name (see below). During early access every account is on the free plan.

When you are signed in, a sign-in token is kept in your browser so that you stay signed in. We remember in the browser which app you were on your way to, so that we can take you there after you sign in.

When you join a waiting list for a planned journey (“Notify Me”), we collect your email address and which journey you asked about.

When you send us a message, we receive what you type into the form:

• the contact form: your name, email address, topic and message;
• the school enquiry form: the school or centre name, city, your role, roughly how many learners, your email address and your message.

When you visit the website, two things record how it is used:

• Google Analytics records the pages you view, how you arrived, your approximate location (country or city, from your IP address), your type of device and browser, and a few events: that someone pressed a button to open an app, whether they were signed in, and on sign-up, the role they chose and which app they wanted. We do not send your name or email address to Google Analytics.
• Our own visit counter records which page was viewed, the site you came from (if a link sent you, only the site’s name), the time, the kind of device (phone, tablet or computer), the browser, the language and time zone set on it, and the screen size. A random number groups the pages of one visit; it is kept only for that browser tab and forgotten when the tab is closed. If you arrived through a tagged campaign link, the campaign’s name is recorded, and remembered in your browser for 30 days so that a sign-up can be credited to the campaign. The counter does not record your name, email address, IP address or a cookie. It does not count visits from browsers that send a Do Not Track signal.

If paid plans are introduced, payment would be made through your own UPI app. We would receive the payment confirmation or screenshot you choose to email us, to switch the plan on for your account. We would not receive your bank or card details.

4. How we use it

• to create and run your account, and to open the apps for you;
• to reply to your messages and enquiries, and to arrange school demos;
• to tell you when a journey on your waiting list opens;
• to send important messages about your account, early access and any change to plans or prices, as described in our Terms;
• to understand which pages and apps are used, so we can improve them;
• to keep the services secure and to stop misuse.

We do not sell or rent personal data, we do not use it for advertising, and we do not build profiles of children or track them across other websites.

5. Services that handle data for us, and features that leave your device

We use these services to run EagLearn. Each receives only what it needs, and some of their servers may be outside India.

• Supabase (database and sign-in): stores accounts, the plan setting, waiting-list emails and the visit counter.
• Google Analytics: website usage, as described in section 3.
• Web3Forms: forwards contact and school enquiry messages to our email inbox.
• Netlify: hosts the website and the apps. Like any web host, it handles your IP address to deliver pages.
• Meta (Facebook and Instagram) advertising: only if we run advertising and only if you agree. See section 6.
• Content delivery: your browser downloads fonts from Google Fonts, some program code from jsDelivr, and AI models and practice datasets from Google Cloud Storage and GitHub. These services receive your IP address and browser details when your browser asks them for a file, as with any website.

In EagLe Maker, three features send data off the device, and only when you use them:

• Listening for a spoken word (the Voice block) uses your browser’s speech recognition. In Chrome and Edge, the browser sends the audio to its maker’s speech service (Google or Microsoft) to turn it into text. If you do not want this, do not use the Voice block.
• Connecting a robot over Wi-Fi sends the commands between the app and the board, and, if the robot’s camera is used as its eyes, small camera pictures, through our relay on Cloudflare. The relay passes messages along as they happen and stores nothing.
• “Tell us” in the app’s Help opens your own email app or Gmail with a message for you to send.

Connecting a robot by USB or Bluetooth sends data only between your device and the board.

6. Cookies and browser storage

• Google Analytics cookies (names beginning _ga) tell visits apart and measure use of the website.
• A signed-in cookie (eagle_signed_in) holds only the number 1 while you are signed in. It is shared by our own addresses (eaglearn.in and the app addresses such as maker.eaglearn.in) so that the apps can show a Log in or Log out button. It holds no name, email or sign-in token, lasts up to 30 days, and is removed when you log out.
• Browser storage (not cookies) holds your sign-in token, where you were heading, and the apps’ settings and offline copy, as described above.

Meta Pixel, only with your agreement. When we run advertising on Facebook or Instagram, some pages for parents and schools (such as the home page and the Schools page) may show a bar asking whether you agree to a Meta advertising cookie. Only if you choose Allow does your browser load Meta’s Pixel, which tells Meta that the page was viewed and, on sign-up, that an account was created, so we can measure our ads. Choose No thanks and it does not load; your choice is remembered in your browser. It never runs in the apps, on the dashboard, or on pages for learners, and we do not aim advertising at children.

We do not use any other advertising cookies. You can block or delete cookies and site data in your browser’s settings. Google offers a browser add-on to opt out of Google Analytics, and our own visit counter respects the Do Not Track setting.

7. Children

EagLearn is made for learning at school and at home, and many learners are children. If a learner is under 18, the account should be created and managed by a parent or guardian, or by the school with the parent’s or guardian’s consent. We do not knowingly create accounts for children without that consent; if you believe this has happened, write to us and we will delete the account.

Children’s recordings stay on their device, as described in section 2. We do not track children across websites, show them advertising or build behavioural profiles of them.

8. How long we keep data

• account details: until you ask us to delete your account;
• waiting-list emails: until we have told you the journey is open, or until you ask us to remove you;
• messages and enquiries: in our email inbox, for as long as needed to deal with them;
• records of coupons used and plans bought: for as long as we need them for our accounts and the law;
• visit-counter records: they contain no personal details and are kept to understand use over time;
• Google Analytics data: for the retention period set in our Google Analytics account.

9. Security

Connections to the website and the apps are encrypted. Accounts are stored by Supabase with access rules that limit who can read them, and passwords are never stored in a readable form. No system is perfectly secure; if we learn of a breach that affects your personal data, we will tell you and the authorities as the law requires.

10. Your rights

You can ask us to:

• tell you what personal data we hold about you, and give you a copy;
• correct or complete data that is wrong;
• delete your data and your account;
• stop using your data where you gave consent, for example by leaving a waiting list.

You may also name someone to exercise these rights for you if you cannot. Email eaglearn.info@gmail.com from the address on your account, or tell us how we can confirm it is you. We reply within 7 business days. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

11. Changes to this policy

When we change this policy, we update the date at the top. If a change is significant, we also tell registered users by email before it takes effect.
